The Bemis Center has an international artist-in-residence program and aim to expose the Omaha community to a variety of contemporary artists. Admission is free, however donations are appreciated.

Do Space is a technology library where you can check out technology or stay and play! There is a space specifically for kids and lots of programming to help people of all ages master tech!

Closed util June 17th while they move to the Abrahams Library

Located in Omaha's old Union Station this museum is as beautiful as it is fun! It has a great kids area with toys, real trains you can walk through, model trains through a miniature Omaha, a old fashioned soda shop, and lots of permanent and special exhibits. If you're lucky you may even see a train pass outside the massive windows in the lower level.

Hot Shops is home to 90 resident artists and is open to the public. You can walk around the building and explore the different studios and see art being made. You can even peek in on glass blowing! Open houses are hosted a couple times a year where most of the artists are present and give you a great opportunity to check out Omaha's art scene. Admission is free!

It's Yours Pottery is an art studio with a variety of creative offerings from pottery to glass fusion. They offer Kids Nite Out programs and a Family Night In take home kit where you can paint your pieces at home.

Joslyn Art Museum is currently closed for renovations until 2024, but they offer a variety of programs in the community while the building is closed, like Art JAM in the Park. Check out their website for more details.

Kaneko's art galleries are free an open to the public! Each exhibit is accompanied by digital activities and scavenger hunts to keep your young learners busy. There is also the Kaneko-UNO library with a dedicated Kid Space with board games, STEAM toys, coloring books and more.

The Luminarium has over 100 interactive exhibits to spark curiosity! There's something here for all ages to enjoy. Tickets are timed-entry so make sure to reserve ahead of time.

Omaha Children's Museum is hands on space for kids to explore and learn! The museum has a variety of permanent exhibits like the Imaginaton Playground where kids get to immerse themselves in a make-believe world. There are also a few special exhibits that change throughout the year so there's always something new to discover!

Get up close to a variety of airplanes, helicopters, and spacecraft! There are different interactive elements throughout the museum, and lots more to see outside as well. If you have a kiddo that loves aviation and outer space, this is a great place to go!

That Pottery Place has been around since 1997 and offers a variety of pieces to paint in the studio or at home. Walk-ins are welcome. The studio is also available for parties and hosts camps for kids.

The Makery is a creative studio specializing in Pinterest worthy crafts. Open crafting times are regularly scheduled and they have great options for kids as young as 4. They also have take home kits available. Walk-ins are welcome but it is strongly recommended that you make a reservation ahead of time. Outside food and beverages are welcome!
